Who you are agreeing with

Pour Score is operated by Carter Pemberton, an individual in Massachusetts, USA (“we”). Reach us at hello@howsthepour.com.

You must be of drinking age

This site is about alcoholic drinks. You may only create an account and publish reviews if you are 21 or older in the United States, or over the legal drinking age where you live, whichever is higher. Anyone can read the site without an account.

Your account

Keep control of the inbox or Google account you sign in with — anyone with access to it can get into your Pour Score account. Do not impersonate someone else or pick a username designed to be mistaken for another person or a business.

What you post

Your reviews and photos remain yours. Publishing them gives us permission to store, display and distribute them on Pour Score, including in previews when someone shares a link. That permission ends for new uses when you delete the content, though copies may persist in backups or caches for a while.

Only post photos you actually took, or have the right to use.

Write honest reviews

This is the whole value of the site, so it is the rule that matters most.

• Review drinks you actually had.
• Do not review a business you own, work for, or are being paid by, without saying so clearly in the note.
• Do not post fake reviews, whether to boost a place or to damage one.
• No harassment, hate speech, threats, or content that is illegal or infringes someone else’s rights.
• Do not scrape the site, or use bots to create accounts or reviews.

Moderation

Reviews can be reported, and we may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules. We will try to be fair and proportionate about it, but this is a small site run by one person, not a formal appeals process.

Venue information

Venue names and locations come partly from Google and partly from what reviewers type. They may be wrong, out of date, or refer to a place that has closed. Check before you travel.

Please drink responsibly

Nothing here is an encouragement to drink more, or to drink at all. Do not drink and drive. If alcohol is causing you difficulty, talk to a doctor or a support service in your area.

No warranty

The site is provided as-is. It may be unavailable, lose data, or contain mistakes. Scores are opinions of the people who wrote them, not statements of fact about any business.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of Pour Score. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Ending things

You can stop using the site whenever you like and ask for your account to be deleted. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules or creates a legal risk.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA, and disputes belong to the courts located there.

Changes

These terms may change. The date at the top will change with them, and continuing to use the site means accepting the new version.
